What Is Slingo?
Slingo is an online casino game which is like a mixture of slots and bingo. Bookmakers and casinos sometimes run promotions on Slingo games as it becomes more popular and more versions are created. There are currently lots of different versions including Rainbow Riches Slingo and Starburst Slingo.
We will always recommend which version of Slingo to use based on the RTP but we will go over the basics below.
Return To Player and Staking
The average return for Slingo games is around 95% but there are games where the RTP can be be significantly different. The games also vary based on speed of play and variance so please always check the guide to see our recommendation. The staking for Slingo games is similar to slots with stakes from 10p to £2 per game.
Standard Slingo Format and Rules
The majority of Slingo games have a very similar layout
You have the prizes listed on the left. These will either be cash prizes with the amounts shown or feature prizes like the example above.
In the middle is the bingo card with your numbers on and we want to cross off as many numbers as possible.
On the right is how many spins you have remaining.
As you can see, on our first spin we marked off one number and we have nine spins remaining.
As we continue to play the game and match numbers, more of our card is crossed off.
As you complete full lines on Slingo you will start to climb the list of prizes:
For this particular version you would need to get a minimum of five lines to win a prize:
While playing Rainbow Riches Slingo you will come across four other symbols. These are:
- Joker - this allows you to cross off any number of your choice in that horizontal row
- Super Joker - this allows you to cross off any number of your choice on the bingo card
- Devil - these just block a space on the called numbers list meaning you have less opportunity to complete lines
- Free Spin - You get 10 spins as standard and then one more for each free spin square you receive
On some other versions of Slingo, you may also get an instant cash prize with a coin symbol
- Cash Prize
When you receive a Joker or Super Joker these should be used wherever will help you complete more lines so if you have one line with three out of five numbers and other lines with two out of five numbers you would use it on the line with three numbers.
When there is no obvious place to use the Joker or Super Joker, it is important to remember that some squares are part of more lines than others. Therefore you should prioritise these squares to help you maximise the RTP of the game:
At the end of most games you will be offered a chance to purchase one more spin and you will be shown what you could win. We recommend avoiding these spins and opting to end the game:
