The rating figure shown on the OddsMatcher refers to the closeness of the odds between the bookmaker and the exchange. This helps us to know how much of our stake we can retain.
If we're placing a £10 bet at the bookies and the rating is 98% we know that our qualifying loss will be 2% of our stake, so in this example we would lose 20p.
We can work out the same when using free bets too. The free bet rating % column on the OddsMatcher shows us how much profit we can make from our free bet. If we have a £10 free bet to use and the rating shows 80%, this means that we will make £8 profit from the free bet.
If you see bets with ratings over 100% and in red, please steer clear of these. Whilst it may seem tempting as you can make some profit rather than a loss or some extra profit on your free bet these are bad for your account health. These are called 'arbs' and can lead to accounts getting banned and/or stake restricted very quickly.
