The two main bet types that we use most often on the Matched Betting Calculator are Normal and Free Bet (SNR)
For bets placed in Normal mode we are placing a bet with our own money. The most common bets placed using the calculator in normal mode are qualifying bets (to unlock a free bet or bonus) and price boosts where we can lock in a profit immediately.
Choosing Normal from the bet type menu on the calculator will calculate your lay stake based on using cash for your back bet.
For bets placed in Free Bet (SNR) mode we are placing a bet with a free bet. SNR stands for Stake Not Returned. When bookmakers give you a free bet they will pay the winnings if the bet wins but you don’t get the stake back like you would with a normal bet.
Choosing Free Bet (SNR) from the bet type menu on the calculator will calculate your lay stake based on not receiving the stake back as part of your winnings.
